Matte lips have taken the makeup world by storm. Mac, L’Oreal, Maybelline, and even Kylie Jenner have all created their own formulas in s plethora of shades. I’m not going to lie, I did want to try Kylie Lip Kit in True Brown but I’m not that pressed to be fighting on the internet with 10,000 other people trying to order. Plus, my friend told me how she ordered, they took her money but she never received the product. Red flag.
So, I moved on to plan b and searched the internet for dupes. All roads lead to Colour Pop. Many even claimed that Colour Pop was better than Kylie’s lip kit. For $6 I decided to give it a try (plus the website offers $5 off for new customers which covers the cost of shipping.)
I loved how the website shows the lip swatches on someone fair, light, and dark skinned so that no matte your skin color, you can get an idea of what it will look like on. I choose Lax and Limbo.
Limbo is a perfect dark brown (True Brown dupe) and Limbo is more of a burgundy.
I fell in love both colors as soon as I got them. They last for hours. I went to brunch wearing both colors and did not have to reapply after eating and drinking endless mimosas.Next I’m going to try the glosses. Colour Pop has definitely earned my trust.
