Spring is definitely my favorite season. Though spring is romanticized for is warm sunny days and pretty flowers, the weather is usually all over the place. You must be prepared for warm, cold, and everything in between while staying stylish. Here are my 5 essentials to help you have a smooth transition from winter to spring!
Though the weather is warming up, it still can be cool on some spring days. Leather jackets are too heavy and sweaters can be too warm but jean jackets are the perfect fix. This light wash jacket from TopShop can be paired with anything from dark jeans to a floral dress.
Cross Body Bag
I hate lugging around big bags, especially when I’m on the move. Petite cross body bags that are just big enough to fit my wallet, lipgloss, and keys in, are perfect for me. I like bags that are a pop of color because I live in all back, but it’s fin to mix it up! I love this rose gold Monki bag from Asos; it small, flirts, and metallics go with everything!
The arrival of spring means lots of going out (if you’re mixy like me.) If I’m going out a bar or cookout, I don’t always want to wear heels. Enter heeled sandals. These are a hybrid of heels and sandals. I recently picked up these mules from a Nine West outlet store. They go with everything and are super comfy.
A cute pair of sunnies essential to your spring wardrobe. The key is finding a unique pair. I’m currently crushing on these cat eyed frames from Nasty Gal. They’re simple but the cutout gives it a twist.
When the sun comes out, it’s time to show some skin! Maxis, slip dress, and skater skirts all need to come out. When its hot, I prefer flowy dresses because they don’t stick to you or ride up. Like I mentioned before it can be cool in the spring, therefore you need a dress that can be layered with a sweater or a jacket. I got this pink slip dress from Forever 21; it took everything for me to not get it in every color.
