Aside from being home to POTUS, DC is known for their endless museums. The cool thing about most of these museums is that they’re free! I’ve been itching to go to the Hirshhorn museum after seeing their Belief + Doubt exhibit all over Instagram.
One Saturday morning, I finally pulled myself together and went. It was definitely smaller than I thought it would be (a common theme of all the museums I’ve visited in DC), but what was there I liked. I would definitely recommend this museum to people like me who are interested in modern art. Here are some of my favorite pieces.
The Book / Anseim Kiefer
Dam / Robert Rauschenberg
Sound Suit / Nick Cave
Andre Breten and Ruth Szowie / Ray Johnson
Ancient Wall / Philip Guston
Belief + Doubt / Barbra Kruger
